SFC Type 1 · Brokers and dealers

Orders, executions and staff dealing in one record.

You deal in securities for clients. Your orders, the trade blotter, the bank's confirmations and staff dealing all have to agree.

Today

Where the time goes

01Orders and fills held in two systems that do not agree.
02Pre-trade approvals given by phone and not written down.

What changes

01

Each ordered buy and sell is matched to the trade blotter and to the bank's confirmation. A trade that does not match goes to a person.

02

A trade that needs pre-trade approval waits until it has one.

03

Staff trades are checked against client orders in the same security, including trades in the opposite direction.

04

Each approval records the person, the time and the change. The person who raised an item cannot approve it.

Your firm

Dealing decisions stay with your dealers. Your responsible officers decide on the exceptions we raise and approve the items that need a principal.
